Resource Fair Planned for Small Businesses
The Warren County Chamber of Commerce, along with the Georgia
Department of Economic Development, will sponsor a resource fair for
Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs on July 18, at 10 a.m. at the
Warrenton Learning Center next to Warrenton City Hall . The partners
will be on hand from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. to answer all of you questions
that you may have regarding small business. This program is part of
the Governor’s Entrepreneur and Small Business awareness initiative
which began in 2004. Our Chamber, and the Chambers of the
five-county, Clarks Hill Partnership of Georgia, is participating
together in this state program to become certified as
“entrepreneur-friendly” by the Governor’s office.
The resource fair will bring together a variety of federal, state
and local resources, each giving small presentations on the services
they offer for a business just getting started or businesses that
are looking for help with planned growth.
Some of the organizations represented will be :
UGA’s Small Business Development Center, USDA, OneGeorgia, Georgia
Tech, CSRA Business Lending, Sandersville Tech, and representatives
from some of our local banks.
Statistics shows that about 8 jobs out of every 10 created are by
small businesses. It’s the Chamber’s goal to do our part to promote
and be a resource for entrepreneurial and small businesses efforts
in our community…to be an organized conduit for information and
resources that are available to anyone looking to start or grow
their business.
The program is open to the public…..whether you or your business is
a Chamber member or not and there is no charge to attendees. Please
make plans to attend, again on July 18, 10 a.m. at the Warrenton
Learning Center.
