Town Hall Meeting October 23rd, 6:30
p.m.
The Georgia Rural Development Council, in partnership
with the University of Georgia's Fanning Institute and the Georgia
Department of Community Affairs, is holding a town hall meeting
Monday, October 23, at the Community Service Building in Warrenton.
The meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30pm.
The purpose of this
town hall meeting is to introduce the new Communities of Opportunity
Initiative to citizens and community leaders. Communities of
Opportunity is a new initiative geared at enhancing the capacity of
rural communities to be more successful. More successful in the sense
that communities have the resources and tools necessary for families
and businesses to prosper. You will hear all about how the Rural
Development Council is partnering with communities and other
agencies and organizations to create Communities of Opportunity in
rural Georgia.
We need your help in making this initiative successful. Public
input is greatly needed to gain the necessary perspective from the
local level.
Please make every effort to attend this important town hall
meeting, and to recruit your fellow citizens to attend as well. To
assist with recruiting others to attend, attached is a flyer for
dissemination in the community.
Please feel free to photocopy
this flyer and distribute where you
feel best.
