Doesn't look like the park to you?
Well, Warrenton usually lucks out with nice weather for our events,
but a rainstorm with threat of more to follow "precipitated" a move
to the cultural center where the band played a variety of styles
that got the audience hopping. The original announcement was;
Thursday, July 19th - Army Corp Band
Hometown Warrenton, Inc. presents another
fantastic Concert in the Park on Thursday, July 19th from 6-8pm in
City Park, located on South Norwood Street. The 246th National Guard
Army Corp Band will be entertaining us for the evening. These types
of bands are always perfect for park concerts......they provide a
variety of music and impress the audience with several (I think
there will be about 20-30) musicians.
The Candice Warthen Fan Club will be selling
supper plates: Hot Dog/Hamburger w/ fries or chips, dessert and
lemonade for $5.00. Local restaurants are also running specials for
concert-goers. Just call ahead and pick up. You have the option of
bringing your own as well, but we hope that you will take advantage
of the onsite vendor, as your patronage is necessary for it to be
worth the time, expense and effort of our vendor to set up in the
park.
Please, plan to join us for a wonderful evening
of great entertainment, delicious food and marvelous fellowship with
family and friends. Posters are attached for printing, if desired.
If it is raining, the concert will be cancelled.
Thanks to Hometown Warrenton, Inc. and it's sponsors for making this
all possible. For Concert in the Park info and other arts happenings
in the county, go to
