The 4th annual Art on Main event is coming
to Warrenton, the seat of Warren County Georgia, on
First
Saturday, June 7th, 2008.

Art
on main is the annual event hosted by the Warren County
Chamber of Commerce and the Warren County Arts Council to
promote the arts in our community.
The event kicks off with a reception for registered artists
on Friday, June
6th from 7-9pm, at a party for the Art on Main artists,
sponsors and other local art enthusiasts. The party will
again be
held in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Chris
McCorkle.

Certificates will be awarded to winners of each eligible
category.

Best in Show awards will consist of:

First: $100 cash
-
Second: $50 cash
-
Third: $25 cash
-
People’s Choice award
-
$35 cash will be given to the
winner of a balloted public judging.

Children’s Art Contest awards are:
-
$10 cash to First Place winner of each age category (K-2nd,
3rd-5th, 6th-8th,9th-12th)
-
Certificates to each Second Place, Third Place and Honorable
Mention winners of each category
JURORS: Three out-of-town art enthusiasts will be selected to judge
in the juried competition and Children’s Art Contest.
SPONSORS: Art on Main, including awards and advertising, is sponsored
by Hometown Warrenton, Inc., the merchants of Warrenton and
private individuals. AoM is an affiliate program of the ARTS
Council of Warren County.
BENEFITS TO ARTISTS: Award
recipients will have a press release sent to their hometown
newspaper in order to announce their winning. We encourage each
artist to use this event as an opportunity to:
- Promote yourself and your work
- See what your peers are producing
- Offer your work/services for sale
