Tuesday October 14, 7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center Please join us for a wonderful Evening of Romance: Music from 1800-1900, on Tuesday, October 14th at 7:00pm in the Warrenton Cultural Center, located on the corner of Church Street and South Gibson Street. The concert will highlight music from the Romantic Period of Western music, often considered to be 1815-1910.
Sue Tomlin, violinist, and Barbara Altman, cellist, will join us as special guest musicians entertaining us before and during the concert with music from the period. We will also have Bob Corbitt, pianist, playing compositions by Chopin and Brahms as pre-concert and reception music. Pre-concert music will begin at 6:45pm. If that is not enough, vocal soloists, duets and a combined choir of members of The Chorus and the Milledgeville Singers Guild will entertain the audience with vocal arrangements of the period. The evening will end with a fabulous reception at which the audience may get up close and personal with all of the musicians. Tickets are $5.00 each, with free admission to all students. To purchase tickets, please call 706.465.3794 or 706.465.9604. We want to thank our 2008 Gold Sponsors Sandra Crawford Voice Studio and Mr. & Mrs. Gene Smith.
