Monday, December 12th, 7:00 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Warrenton: Festival of Lessons & Carols presented by The Chorus. All are invited to this free concert, featuring favorite carols and songs from the season, plus a few new ones. A light reception will follow.

Sunday, December 11th, 3:00 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Warrenton: "The Surprising Christmas Pageant" presented by the children of the FUMC Afterschool Program. Refreshments served afterwards.

ACT VIII - TWELFTH NIGHT, November 17th & 22nd, 7 p.m. at the Cultural Center. The Area Childrens' Theater will perform William Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night. This eighth performance by ACT will feature many of the seasoned professionals you've seen grow over the years. See Photos

SUPER-DUPER SATURDAY, November 12th, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sportsman's Festival featuring The All American Lumberjack Show! Shows at 11 and 1, with a Kids Sport Camp to follow the last show, and carving demo's between shows. We'll also have our annual Car Cruise-In, Turkey Shoot and Big Buck Contest, plus vendors, Kid's Carnival, and raffles! Fun for the entire family!!

Music & Food Fest! Live music begins from the Depot Stage at the Welcome Center at 10 a.m., the Chili Cook-Off will be judged at 11 and served at noon, and the Tractor Show will be held from 10-2 in the Depot Parking Lot. Food Vendors will be set up along S. Norwood St., and the Helping Hands Food Pantry will be holding a food drive in front of the Knox Theatre. 706.465.9604 for more info.

SUPER SATURDAY, September 3rd, 10 a.m.-Noon, Kids' Day. The fun begins at 10 a.m. at the Depot Welcome Center with Touch-a-Truck. Then, we will celebrate David Bushnell's (inventor of "The Turtle" Submarine) birthday with games, fun and activities

TUESDAY, August 16th

  • 4:00 p.m., Warrenton Cultural Center, ACT VIII Script Day. All interested kids, ages 8 and up, are invited to prepare for auditions by picking up Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" scripts. Auditions will take place Monday, August 22nd, and rehearsals will be each Monday till the performance on November 17th.
    Please, RSVP by calling Cindy Rivers at 706.465.9604 by August 7th to reserve a script for Script Day.

  • TUESDAY, August 16th, 7:00 p.m., First United Methodist Church, The Chorus begins rehearsals for their fall October Evening, "A Comedy of Arias". All voice parts welcome. Music is light and funny.

SUPER SATURDAY, August 6th, 10:00 a.m., Back Roads & Bikes Charity Ride & Poker Run. 9:00 a.m. registration at the Depot Welcome Center. $30 per bike, which includes one hand of poker, one lunch at The Sand Bar @ Granite Shoals, and, to the first 40, a t-shirt & ditty bag. Riders eat free. Extra hands are $5.00 each. Ride begins at 10 a.m..Proceeds go to the Warren, Let's Read Together Program for kids. See Photos and Video

MONDAY-FRIDAY, July 4th-8th, 10:00 a.m.- Noon, Jr. Tennis Camp at City Park Tennis Courts, Memorial Drive. Kids 6 & up are invited to be part of this camp. Spaces are limited. Info & Registration HERE!. $25 without own JUNIOR racket/ $10 with own JUNIOR racket. Spaces are limited. Deadline is June 25th.

SUPER SATURDAY, July 2nd, 10:00 a.m.-until, Patriotic Day Parade & Tennis Tourney. Parade begins from Warren Street Parking Lot at 10 a.m. and heads to City Park, where the celebration continues with the annual Pie Bake-Off judging, followed by the start of the Tennis Tourney. SUPER SATURDAY, June 2nd, 2011 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Art on Main in downtown Warrenton, GA. CALL FOR ARTISTS: Deadline May 29th. Register Here. KIDS, we have some fun planned for you...we will be "Coloring Your World" with sidewalk chalking from the Warren County Public Library, through downtown, in front of the court house, all the way to the Depot Welcome Center. Come out and enjoy the day!

TUESDAY, May 31st, 2011 7:00 p.m. at the Warrenton Cultural Center, The Chorus invites you to their performance: "Spring Tune-Up". The Chorus will be singing old time favorites, including barber shop and WWII songs. This concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.

  • 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.Camak's Railroad Days, an annual festival in Camak, Georgia. Live music entertainment, car show, arts & crafts, food and, of course, Railroad Memorabilia.

  • 6:00-11:00 p.m., Blue Devil Bash: EVERYONE INVITED! Bash will take place in the Warrenton Cultural Center (old gym) on South Gibson Street, and the Palmetto Groove Band will be playing live. TUESDAY, March 1, 2011, 7:00 p.m., Warrenton First United Methodist Church The Chorus begins rehearsal for their spring concert. We will be working on a program of Barbershop Quartets and Women's Ensembles. No auditions required, except for solo pieces. Spring concert is planned for May 17th, location TBA. MONDAY, February 7, 2011, 4:00 p.m., Warrenton Cultural Center ACT VII auditions and casting begins. Children ages 8-20 are invited to participate either as actors or as crew members. SPACES ARE LIMITED, so don't miss this first day. Rehearsals will be each Monday, 4-5:30 p.m. at the Warrenton Cultural Center, which is on the corner of South Gibson Street and Church Street.
