AUDITIONS!!

Auditions are right around the corner! Are you ready to step into the spotlight? ACT is excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of
"It Happened on Route 66" by Todd Wallinger.
Here are some top tips to help you shine and give your best performance:

• Dress the Part (But Not Literally!) Don’t audition in costume, unsuitable clothes, or heavy makeup.
• Be clean, wear clothes you can move in, tie your hair back, and wear your glasses if you need them.
• Do Your Homework! 
• Learn about ACT and the play you’re auditioning for. Know what’s expected and the rehearsal schedule.
• Be Punctual! 
• Arrive on time to avoid a sweaty panic. Allow time to find the building, the audition room, and to freshen up.
• Stay Calm and Focused. 
• Control your nerves. Don’t let them make you talk too much or too little. Listen carefully and be ready for anything.
• Mind Your Manners. 
• Be polite to those auditioning you and kind to your fellow auditionees. Be eager and committed, but also generous and humble.
• Audition for Yourself 
• Only audition if it’s what you really want. Don’t let anyone push you into it, and don’t let anyone dissuade you if it’s your passion.
• Enjoy the Experience! 
• If acting is what you love, then love it! Smile, be positive, and embrace the whole experience.
