Did you know? Located strategically between Athens and Augusta, the Georgia Railroad & Banking Company played a significant role in shaping our local heritage! This historic company was pivotal in establishing the Town of Camak, a community that grew around the railroad.
The Camak Depot, built in the golden age of rail travel, still proudly stands today. It serves as a reminder of our vibrant past and is actively used by CSX, continuing its legacy into the modern era.
