Inspiring Young Leaders During Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, Mayor Ivey, accompanied by retired educator Mrs. Massey, spent a special morning with the Warren County Pre-K class celebrating the Power of history, leadership, and community. The visit reflected our shared commitment to investing in the next generation and ensuring that even our youngest leaners are inspired to dream big.

During the visit, Mrs. Massey captivated the students with a reading about the life and legacy of Barack Obama, the first African American President of the United States. Through her engaging storytelling, students learned about perseverance, education, and the important of believing in themselves- lessons that resonate far beyond the classroom.

Mayor Ivey also took time to connect personally with each student, sharing snacks, offering words of encouragement, and greeting every child with a warm smile and heartfelt hug. These meaningful interactions created a joyful atmosphere and reinforced the importance of community leaders being present and engaged in our schools.

The Warren County Chamber is proud to support opportunities that bring together civic leadership, educators, and students in such impactful ways. Experiences like this not only celebrate our rich history but also help share the bright future of Warren County.
