Black History Moment
The Warren County Chamber is proud to recognize Mayor Pro Tem Quamid Green for his outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to education and community advancement.

A 1966 graduate of Warren County High School and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Mayor Pro Tem Green served four years on active duty before continuing his academic journey. He earned a double major in History and Political Science from Augusta State University, a master's degree in education from Western Governors University, and a Tier I Educational Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia. His dedication to lifelong learning has been a cornerstone of his professional path.

With experience as a high school teacher, school principal, and international educator teaching AP History in Bandung, Indonesia, Mayor Pro Tem Green brings a broad and impactful perspective to his work. Since returning to Warrenton in 2015, he has faithfully served the Warren County School System in several capacities and currently leads as CEO of the Warren County College and Career Academy, CTAE Director, and a supporter of the school's guidance department.

We also extend our appreciation to George Ivey for recognizing and honoring Mayor Pro Tem Green during this Black History Month. His acknowledgment highlights the importance of celebrating leaders within our community who continue to make a meaningful difference.
