My hometown of Warren County is filled in rich history. Not only is it home to the first African American mayor, former Mayor George Ivey, but we also made history with our first female mayor.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Warren County is excited to honor and spotlight our female leaders. This initiative, spearheaded by Dr. Ken Blair, will recognize the incredible contributions of women in leadership throughout Warren County. Mayor Thigpen made history as the county’s first female mayor, a remarkable achievement that showcases her unwavering commitment to the community. In honor of Women’s History Month, we proudly celebrate her groundbreaking leadership and the inspiring legacy she is creating for future generations.
