Help save this significant historic treasure in our community!
The Knox Theatre was completed in 1937 by Mrs. Margaret Knox Story. Throughout the thirties, forties and fifties, Warrenton saw many different road shows, vaudeville acts, and music groups perform in this beautiful theatre. In the sixties, the Knox exclusively showed movies. It was closed in 1997. It is now owned by the county and plans are to renovate it in keeping with its historic significance and to show family-friendly movies to the general public.
