Warren County is governed by a three member Board of Commissioners. The county is divided into two districts with Commission District One covering the western side of the county and Commission District Two covering the eastern side of the county. The two district commissioners are part-time and elected to serve four year terms.

The Chairman is elected Countywide and elected to serve four year terms. The chairman is the chief elected official and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the county.  The chairman conducts all Board of Commissioners meetings, prepares and presents the agenda.  The chairman represents the County at all official functions, executes all contracts and agreements, and has full voting privileges on all measures brought before the board.

Monthly Meeting

​The Warren County Board of Commissioners meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM in the Warren County Community Services Building, 48 Warren Street, Warrenton, Georgia.
​
Meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Georgia Open Meetings Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1).

​From time to time, the Board of Commissioners may hold called or special meetings to address specific matters of county business. Notice of these meetings is posted at least 24 hours in advance at the Warren County Courthouse and on this website, in accordance with the Georgia Open Meetings Act (O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1). Also, the location of the meeting may be adjusted based on building use and function, please refer to the Public Notices or Events section of the website for the most up to date information.

Elected Officials

John R. Graham
Chairman
John has completed the County Commissioners Training Program and the Certified Commissioners Advance Program by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) and the University of Georgia.  John is currently serving his sixth term.

John serves on numerous boards and committees.  John is currently serving as Chairman of the CSRA Regional Commission, Chairman of the Warren County Board of Health, Member of the Georgia Association of Regional Commissions Board, Chairman of the East Central GA Region Six EMS Council, Chairman of the ACCG Public Safety and Courts Policy Committee, and member of the ACCG Policy Committee.
​Richard Burley, Jr. 
District 1
Richard has completed the County Commissioners Training Program and the Certified Commissioners Advance Program by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) and the University of Georgia. Richard is currently serving his sixth term.

Allen Troy
District 2
Allen has recently been elected to fill an unexpired term of Rita Johnson. He will serve the rest of the term until an election can be held on terms of the Secretary of the State. Allen was reelected to serve in the next general election of the county.

The Warren County Board of Commissioners is supported by a skilled staff dedicated to ensuring the efficient and effective management of county operations. The County Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining official county records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and contracts, while also coordinating public hearings and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Finance Director oversees the financial health of the county, managing the budget, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility through audits and financial reporting. The Human Resources Director handles all personnel matters, including recruitment, employee training, benefits, and workplace compliance, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for county employees. Together, this team works to provide essential administrative, financial, and personnel support, enabling the Board of Commissioners to make informed decisions that benefit the county and its residents. Their combined efforts ensure the smooth operation of county government and the continued success of Warren County.

Warren County Maintenance Request Form

Use this form to report maintenance issues on County-maintained roads such as potholes, drainage problems, or damaged signs. Reports are reviewed during normal business hours (Monday–Friday) by the Warren County Road Department.
For emergencies — including downed power lines, accidents, or blocked roads posing immediate danger — call 911 or Warren County E-911 Dispatch right away.
