The Greater Clarks Hill Regional Library System (GCHRL) is a consortium of eight public libraries serving the communities of Columbia, Burke, Lincoln, and Warren counties in eastern Georgia. Established in 2013, GCHRL provides access to a vast collection of resources through its partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service’s PINES program, which offers access to 10.6 million books across 53 library systems in Georgia. Additionally, the library system is supported by GALILEO, offering access to over 100 databases and thousands of scholarly journals.
With a strong focus on community engagement and development, GCHRL has expanded and improved its facilities over the years. Notably, the Harlem Branch Library underwent a significant renovation in 2017, and in 2020, the Grovetown Library opened a new location to better serve the area. These libraries, along with the other branches in the system, continue to provide essential services, resources, and educational opportunities to their communities.
