See the sights and make memories!
Warren County, Georgia, was founded on December 19, 1793, and named in honor of General Joseph Warren, a distinguished hero of the American Revolution who fought and died in the Battle of Bunker Hill. Nestled in the heart of mid-eastern Georgia, Warren County offers a rich historical backdrop and a welcoming small-town charm. The county is located west of McDuffie County and is just a 45-minute drive from the bustling city of Augusta, making it an ideal blend of rural tranquility and convenient access to urban amenities.

Covering 286 square miles, Warren County was formed from parts of Burke, Columbia, Washington, and Wilkes counties. The county seat, Warrenton, serves as its largest city and is a hub of government and commerce. Along with Warrenton, the county includes the historic communities of Norwood and Camak, each contributing to the area’s unique character and southern charm.

Warren County is steeped in history, with roots tracing back to the earliest days of the state’s formation. It offers residents and visitors alike a rich cultural experience, scenic landscapes, and a close-knit community atmosphere. Whether you're looking to explore historic landmarks or take part in community events, Warren County has something for everyone, all while maintaining its commitment to preserving its heritage and promoting future growth.
Historical
Rural Free Delivery: The first type of free mail delivery was called Rural Free Delivery, which originated in Norwood.

The  Jewell Box: Erected around 1870, the Jewell Box is one of Georgia's oldest buildings. It was originally a Buggie and Wagon shoppe, but now it's a general store!

Camak Bridge: Constructed in 1898, this bridge offers one car to go across the river. It offers a very beautiful view.
Barnett Methodist: Built in 1876, the church was headed to ruin, until the community stepped up to save the day.

Fountain Campground: Founded in 1822 the fountain campground might be Warren County's most well know historical landmark. On Sundays churches will often meet at the old tabernacle and have service in the fresh open air.
