The Warren County Sheriff's Office was established in 1793 with the founding of Warren County.  We strive to serve the citizens of Warren County with Honesty, Integrity and Fairness.

The Sheriff's Office will be teaching CHAMPS (Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety) again this 2011-2012 school year in the 5th grade classes in Warren County. Please see our CHAMPS info below for more information on this youth program. ​

The Choosing Healthy Activities & Promoting Safety (CHAMPS) Program is a (20) week program to help our youth resist pressures which may influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalants, and other drugs. They will also learn about ways to avoid bullying, peer pressure, violent behavior and making good choices. Several safety topics such as Hunting, ATV,  Association and is taught to the 5th grade students by a Deputy Sheriff from your Sheriff's Office.

M.E. Freeman is the first school in Warren County to have C.H.A.M.P.S. Classes  began in September during the regular school day. Deputy Sammy Purvis is the instructor, Deputy Purvis attended a two week (80 hour) class at the Georgia Sheriff's Association in June of 2010 to become certified to teach C.H.A.M.P.S. K-9 Unit

The K-9 unit was established in August 2009. With a grant from the Toombs Circuit District Attorney Dennis Sanders, and funds from confiscated drug money the sheriffs' office purchased it's first narcotics detection K-9, "Brixta".  ​
Process Server: The Sheriffs of Georgia have agreed to oppose any further expansion of "certified process servers". All sheriffs will exercise their authority under the current law and PROHIBIT ALL certified process servers from serving process in every county.
